Welcome!

I was born in Turku, Finland...currently living in south-western USA. My immediate family - parents, self, two brothers - emigrated to Canada when I was four years old. All my cousins, aunts, uncles - whole clan - still live in Finland. I have been back to Finland a number of times since my childhood. I'll never forget what a joy it was for me to discover that I had so many cousins around my own age - instant connections! Instant friendship! It was magical! So were the summers at the lake. Only one of the 1st generation progeny of our 'suku' in Canada (and USA) speaks Finnish. How sad. I hope this Forum - Finn2Finn - and my blog (finn2finnfun.blogspot.com) will connect Finns and Friends of Finland around the world, and that they will migrate to Finn2Finnforum to get to share experiences and - if they so choose - get know one another across the miles.
